About Carrie
From my earliest memories, art has been the unbroken thread weaving through the tapestry of my life. My childhood days were spent immersed in creative projects alongside my mom.
Art school in Long Beach, California, fueled a desire to impart the magic of art to others. However, the practical demands of the dot-com boom redirected my path toward a career elsewhere. My connection to art endured, manifesting as sporadic projects and musings. It wasn't until I burned out and turned to meditation to manage my stress that my dormant passion for painting was reignited. In this rediscovery, I found solace in crafting works that emanate peace, exhibit layers of complexity, and reflect the abstract beauty of the mind.
My recent creations explore quiet moments and aerial perspectives of Starling Murmurations or hot summer sunsets in the Golden Hour. These experiences serve as a reminder to shift my point of view, inhale deeply, and immerse myself in the details of the present moment. I invite the viewer to join me in this journey of reflection and appreciation. All paintings are on raw hand-stretched canvas with fluid acrylic and hand embroidery.
